Academic Football Club

Aberdeen Asset Management Denmark A/S enjoys a business partnership with the Academic Football Club in Gladsaxe north of Copenhagen. The partnership means building a local network and supporting the club’s ’Brains & Heart’ project. The project is based on the club’s vision to focus on education as the club’s name reflects. The historic background of ’the Academic Football Club’ is that the members originally came from the University of Copenhagen and the Technical University of Denmark.

Today the development of talent is still done with focus on the education of the players through a committed cooperation with educational institutions, and it is the policy of the club that the young players must finish their education in addition to their football career.

Helping children and juveniles in the world’s poorest countries

Aberdeen Asset Management Denmark A/S cooperates with FAIR Danmark on humanitarian and environmental aid to children and juveniles in the world’s poorest countries. Aberdeen contributes with an annual amount to FAIR Danmark and they collect and securely erase data on our used ICT-equipment. FAIR Danmark ensures that the equipment is re-used for educational purposes in Africa, and when the equipment is worn out FAIR makes sure that the recovery is handled in an environmentally responsible manner.

The Youth Red Cross

The Youth Red Cross is an independent organisation under the Danish Red Cross, working for a better everyday life for exposed children and young people. The work is done by more than 3000 young resourceful volunteers through 160 local activities. Aberdeen has signed up for a sponsorship for one year. Aberdeen has chosen this donation, because it means helping locally. Aberdeen is not taking part in the actual activities as we believe this is best done by the passionate volunteers and the organisation who also decides which projects to support.

Denmark's Aid - The New Africa

The funds from this years national aid event, Danmarks Indsamling, goes to the New Africa, supporting the youth and their education in Africa. Aberdeen Asset Management support this cause and have donated Dkr 25,000 (EUR 3,333) to the "Danmarks Indsamling".

TV-Glad

Aberdeen’s social engagement goes beyond supporting a good cause by solely donating money. In our marketing of commercial tenancies, we among others use video and webcasts and for this we have chosen to use TV-Glad as our production company. See an example of one of our TV Glad webcasts below.

TV-Glad is a fund of companies operating within TV, radio and video production, animation, design, food and café management and education. The aim is to educate and to create jobs and better living conditions for people with disabilities. The fund’s main characters and prime workforce is people with disabilities, and all profits are reinvested in the cause.
